A New Dallas Landmark Has Locals Scratching Their Head

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF NEWS)- A new Dallas landmark has been born by accident and locals are enjoying it while it lasts.

“It truly is like the leaning tower of Dallas like what are they going to do about it,” said Dallas local Steve Kimble.

After a failed implosion attempt Sunday morning, the center shaft of a once 11 story building remains standing, but leaning to the east at about 15 degrees. Now Dallas locals such as Jimmy Bartletg, have gathered near Haskell Avenue and Central Expressway to take pictures of what is now being dubbed as the Leaning Tower of Dallas.

“Something like this obviously you want to take a picture of it to say how often do you see something like this,” said Bartletg.

Lloyd D. Nabors Demolition, the company responsible for the failed implosion, hopes to complete demolition sometime this week.
