Dallas Fireman Injured After Being Knocked Down By Falling Debris

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – A Dallas Fire Rescue fireman suffered a lower back injury and non-life-threatening burns after part of a blazing building crashed down on him overnight.

The blaze at a vacant structure on Walnut Hill Lane broke out around 2am.

DFR’s Jason Evans says when firefighters arrived at the vacant commercial structure, they observed fire coming from the roof.

There was no one in the building when firefighters arrived at the location, so there were no injuries reported.

The structure was destroyed.

No word on what caused the blaze.
