DFW (WBAP/KLIF) – THE Coronavirus is having an impact locally. Travel to China has been temporarily suspended for students and staff at Texas Christian University. Several dozen had planned to go to china later this year.
Faculty and staff travel has been suspended through March, student travel through August.
The Chinese New Year Festival planned for this Saturday at NorthPark Center has been postponed by the Crow Museum of Asian Art. Organizers say they are mindful of the current and evolving health crisis in China.
The World Health Organization has declared the outbreak of new virus from China a global emergency.
