Man Gets 50 Years in Jogger Beating

(WBAP/KLIF) — The man who violently attacked a Forth Worth jogger in 2017 was sentenced Friday to a half-century in jail.

23 year old Justin Lacey Ray was sentenced in Tarrant County District Court to a 50 year prison sentence after pleading guilty in two separate attacks.

Ray pled guilty to the sexual assault and beating of a Trinity Trails jogger and the assault of another woman at a Fort Worth dog park.

Prosecutor Kevin Boneberg said the attack was one of the most violent beatings he had ever seen someone survive.

Ray pleaded guilty to attempted capital murder, aggravated sexual assault, and aggravated assault.
