(WBAP/KLIF) — Our news department takes a look at the top stories of 2019:
Among the top stories are the historic impeachment of President Donald Trump, former Dallas Police officer Amber Guyger being sentenced to prison for the murder of Botham Jean, and the October 20th tornadoes that struck the Dallas area. 2019 will also be remembered for the 22 people who were gunned down in an
El Paso Walmart by Patrick Crusius, the White Settlement church shootings, and suspected serial killer Billy Chemirmi who posed as a maintenance worker and is charged in the deaths of 12 elderly women.
The Texas Rangers also played their last game at Globe Life Park, while Dallas Mavericks great Dirk Nowitzki retired after 21 years in the NBA.
