MANSIFIELD – WBAP/KLIF – Methodist Hospital of Mansfield is celebrating its first birth of the New Year. A little girl named Emma Leigh Petermeier chose the time of 12:01 AM to push into the New Year, weighing in at 6 pounds, 12 ounces. The new parents received a new baby book to help Emma Leigh get a head start on reading, and a gift basket we presume was filled with diapers.
In Richardson, Methodist reports new mom Kendle Castillo was first to deliver in the new year at 8:40 AM. That baby joins her 18-month old brother in adding to our North Texan population numbers.
