Texas Roadways Filled With Accidents

(WBAP/KLIF) — Texas highways are seeing a rise in traffic accidents this holiday travel season. Med-Star’s Matt Zavadsky says accidents are up ahead of today’s busiest travel day.

Med-Star reports there have been 85 vehicle crashes on Texas roads from December 23rd through December 25th. The majority of accidents could easily be avoided by simply paying attention to the road.

Of those crashes, 40 people have been taken to area hospitals for treatment. Med-Star indicates 5 have been rollovers and 7 auto-pedestrian accidents. So far this holiday season, no one has died on Texas highways. Last year, three people lost their lives in traffic accidents.
