Dallas Police Officer Shoots Armed Suspect Overnight

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Police are on the scene of an officer involved shooting overnight where a man was reported to be shooting his gun at the ground at Spring Valley Road and Noelle.

WFAA reports that police tried to talk the man down, but he proceeded to approach an officer. Police say one ‘non-lethal’ round was fired, which had no impact. At that police lethal force was used.

The suspect was shot twice in the chest and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No officers were hurt.

Dallas police recovered a gun in the intersection.

At one point, Dallas Police Chief Renee Hall was on the scene, but she reportedly left without comment.
