Janitor Killed in Freak Accident at Dickey’s Arena, Crushed By Mechanical Gate

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – Investigators are looking into a a freak accident that killed a janitor at the new Dickey’s Arena in Fort Worth over the weekend.

24-year-old Juan Carlos Julian Jr. of Fort Worth was crushed under one of the arena’s entry gates in the 3400 block of Trail Drive around 7 a.m. on Saturday.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office said Julian died of traumatic asphyxia from the horrific incident.

His death has been ruled an accident.

Meanwhile, Julian’s family has started a GoFundMe campaign to help pay for funeral expenses.
