This holiday season, a popular tradition continues in Grand Prairie. The two-mile “Prairie Lights” holiday display along Joe Pool lake returns for its 14th year. More than 250-thousand people visited the drive-thru holiday experience last year.
With new displays, park officials expect greater crowds this year. Wait times to see the over 4-million “prairie lights” can reach up to an hour. However, park officials provide a helpful tip on how to beat the long wait. Patrons can purchase tickets online or take advantage of the “fast pass”. Tickets are $45 for a car or $129 for the “fast pass” where you schedule a time and bypass the wait in line. Prairie Lights” is open 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm nightly through New Year’s Eve.
