FT. WORTH (WBAP/KIF) – The Fort Worth ISD says it will appeal the ruling made by the Texas Education Agency saying former teacher Georgia Clark should be reinstated.
Clark gained national attention after going on social media to ask President Donald Trump to “remove the illegals” at her school. She was fired in September.
Commissioner Mike Morath says Clark should be reinstated with back pay or, alternatively, receive one year of salary. But the district says the Commissioner’s decision was not based on the merits of the case but rather a procedural technicality with which the District does not agree.
The district says it will appeal in the next 20 days.
