Fort Worth’s Community Food Bank Still Needs Hundreds of Turkeys

Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – The Fort Worth Community Food Bank is in need of 400 turkeys as they continue a ten-year tradition of feeding thousands of hungry families for thanksgiving.

Karen Harris, Executive Coordinator at the food bank. She says volunteers pack up turkeys and all of the fixins for 48-hundred families to prepare at home.
In addition to the turkeys, families get sides like stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce and produce, along with cookies and drinks.

They’re accepting donations at the food bank located at 3000 Galvez Ave; also, monetary donations will help the food bank buy turkeys.
