Globe Life Field 85% Complete with Unique Features and Entertainment Spaces for Fans

ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF)- Globe Life Field, the future home of the Texas Rangers is 85% completed.

Jack Hill Vice President of Project Development says they’re now focusing on details to make it unique as well as putting together the retractable roof to have events year round. “Special clubs and special entertainment areas and hospitality areas in the new park…the ball park is going to feel a lot more intimate- it’s a much different feel than Globe Life Park- we have some very unique seating areas for example our top deck goes all the way around 360,” Hill said.

Hill said there will also be a lot of entertainment areas like a speakeasy, floor level suites behind home plate, Texas Sky Porch, lounges and clubs with all inclusive food and drinks.

“I think the fans are going to be struck with how close they feel and how they feel apart of the game and all the great entertainment areas that we got,” he said.

Commissioner of Baseball Rob Manfred applauded Arlington for the new field when touring it. “This is going to be another step forward for the industry in terms of the standard for

ballpark construction…it makes baseball even more appealing for this metropolitan area,” he said.

The 1.8 million square ft ballpark with over 40,000 seats will open in March. Over four million man hours have been completed on the Globe Life Field Project to date and an estimated one million man hours of work is left.
