Fort Hood Shooting Victims Honored 10 Years After the Massacre

KILLEEN (WBAP/KLIF) – The victims of the mass shooting at Fort Hood were remembered Tuesday, 10 years to the day since the massacre.

14 people were killed and 30 others hurt in the attack. Family members of the victims honored their loved ones during a ceremony in front of a memorial in Killeen. The City’s Mayor Jose Segarra told the audience the victims will never be forgotten.

“We stand at this great memorial not only to remember those who lost their lives but also as a tribute to who and what they represented,” Mayor Segarra said.

Family members of each of the victims were given a chance to address the audience.

Nidal Hasan was convicted in the killings and is awaiting execution.
