D-FW (WBAP/KLIF) – A habitual D-U-I offender admits to having at least five shots before a fatal wrong-way crash on the Dallas North Tollway.
Police say 30-year Chaz Thames was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of the DNT around 2 a.m. Monday, when he crashed head-on into a car driven by 57-year-old Melvin Anthony Taylor (pictured right).

Thames is charged with intoxication manslaughter and is being held on $100, 000 dollars bond.
Thames’ prior convictions were in Tarrant County in 2011, 2013 and 2016 — Thames spent 10-years in prison for the latter.
