RICHARDSON (WBAP/KLIF) – Cleanup efforts continue across the Dallas area following Sunday’s string of tornadoes that ravaged local homes and businesses. 9 tornadoes were confirmed to have touched down Sunday, including an EF-3 storm in Dallas and Richardson.
About 15 employees from Lowes made their way around the devastated Richland Meadows nerighborhood in Richardson Wednesday with carts loaded with essential supplies and water for storm victims. Richardson Store Manager Manager Josh Rosero said many employees volunteered.
“A lot of them are here on their day off just doing what they can to help,” Rosero said.
The supply buckets contained cleaning supplies and other essentials items. Cases of water were also dripped off door to door.
“It’s nice to know people care,” said a Richland Meadows resident. “What happened to us here is just unbelievable.”
Other Dallas area Lowes stores are hitting the streets in the most affected neighborhoods.
