PLANO – WBAP/KLIF – Attendance figures at this weekend’s second annual Plano Food and Wine Festival are expected to surpass the debut year’s three thousand participants. This year’s attendees of the festival snaked around the new District at Willow Bend restaurant areas, sampling more than one hundred wines from around the world, tasting restaurant food and hearing live music from three bands.
Spokeswoman Lauren Stephan describes a busy schedule, with food offered by more than 25 Plano area restaurants, wares for sale from more than 60 boutiques and shops, cooking demonstrations and a beer tent. Wine tasting packages, which offer the festival goer a glass to sample wines throughout the venue, being at $20.
