Dallas Police Capture Wyoming Prison Escapee

DALLAS  (WBAP/KLIF News) – A prisoner who escaped from a correctional facility in Wyoming last month has been captured in Dallas after authorities warned the public he could be in North Texas.

The Dallas Police Department arrested 30-year-old Robert Simpson without incident on Tuesday.

Simpson and another inmate, 48-year-old Jason Green, escaped from the Wyoming Honor Conservation camp in Newcastle September 22nd.

Investigators believe the inmates stole two cars as they made their way down south.

Green was arrested in Mesquite on Monday. He was imprisoned on larceny charges.

Simpson was imprisoned for aggravated burglary with a weapon.
