ASSOCIATED PRESS – WBAP/KLIF – Maryland police say five people were stabbed at an outdoor shopping mall before police officers shot and killed the suspect
Authorities say the victims were rushed from the Hunt Valley Towne Centre to hospitals Saturday afternoon. The center is in Cockeysville, about 15 miles north of Baltimore.
Four of the victims were stabbed at a liquor store; the fifth at a noodle restaurant. Police spokeswoman Jennifer Peach says the assailant was reported demanding money from liquor patrons and had a hunting style knife with a blade about three inches long.
The suspect was shot at an intersection near the mall. Victims are believed to be suffering non life-threatening injuries.
