
Frisco (WBAP/KLIF) – Friends and family of a Texas A&M student from Frisco are offering prayers and support after she was severely injured after being hit by a drunk driver on campus Saturday.
Dozens of people who know A&M sophomore Carolyn Beatty gathered outside her alma mater, Frisco Centennial High School last night for a prayer vigil.
Police say the suspect, 17-year Pedro Pugo of Bryan was driving under the influence of alcohol, cocaine and Xanax. He reportedly drove off after the accident and tried to run from police before getting arrested.
Pugo is facing several charges including accident involving serious bodily injury.
Beatty is in critical condition at the Houston hospital.
