(WBAP/KLIF) – President Donald Trump is working across party lines to try to find solutions to the increased mass shooting rate in the United States.
That word from Senator John Cornyn of Texas who hopes agreements could possibly be reached later this week on the subject.
“He’s been trying to find some way to bring republicans and democrats together that would save lives,” Cornyn said.
Cornyn added the agreement they are hoping to reach would not infringe the rights of law-abiding Americans.
“We are having very active discussions, both with the administration and with the House, to try to see what makes sense and what package we can come up with,” Cornyn said.
