Dallas (WBAP/KLIF)  Another car manufacturer is moving its headquarters to North Texas.  McLaren North America announced Thursday it will move operations from New York City to Coppell.  The British sports car manufacturer will open a custom designed 30,000-square foot facility in the high tech industrial park.

“Our team is thrilled to welcome McLaren’s new North American headquarters to our region,” said Dale Petroskey, Dallas Regional Chamber President and CEO. “We enjoyed working with the McLaren team over the past few months to encourage and support this decision. The fact that this globally respected company – with its reputation for luxury, performance, and innovation – chose Coppell is yet another example that Dallas-Fort Worth is the ideal location for international mobility and technology companies.”

McLaren has 24 dealerships in the U.S. and three in Canada. It sold 1,569 vehicles in North American in 2018.
