North Texas Volunteers to Head to Florida to Deal with Dorian Aftermath

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Volunteers from North Texas are preparing to head to Florida to help out after Hurricane Dorian makes landfall.

John Hall with Texas Baptist Men says they pray ahead of the storm and then take action.

“Most of our equipment is ready to go at the drop of a hat but we do have some pieces that we do have to get together,” Hall said. “We have to talk to our volunteers to help them talk to their bosses.”

Volunteers could be deployed for as long as two weeks.

He says they will be on the ground as long as necessary in the aftermath of a major disaster.
