Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas police are not be permitted to request any more time off during the upcoming trial of former officer officer Amber Guyger.
She’s charged with murder in the death of Botham Jean, who was shot in his own apartment. The trial is scheduled to start on September 23rd.
Guyger was off-duty but still in uniform and says she shot jean because she thought he was a burglar.
In two different memos, officers were told they won’t be granted time off from the time the trial gets under way through at least the first week of October.
Detectives were also told to have their uniforms, helmets, gas masks, and other gear ready.
