FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF)- On August 8 and 9, the Fort Worth Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children Unit (CACU) participated in a joint “Online Solicitation of a Minor” operation. Department of Public Safety, the Tarrant County Sherriff’s Office, Arlington Police Department, and various federal agencies also participated in the operation.Undercover officers connected through several social media platforms to target people who were looking to have sex with a minor. Eleven people were arrested and four others will be arrested, pending warrants. Police say Polygraphs were given to willing participants to determine if there are additional victims.
The suspects were arrested and charged with Online Solicitation of a Minor, which is a third degree felony. There were also three counts of endangering and three counts of making a firearm accessible and one count of Unlawful Possession of a firearm.
