Denton Toddler Whose Body was Found in Neighbor’s SUV Died of Heatstroke, Death Ruled Accidental

DENTON  (WBAP/KLIF News) – Almost two months after a missing Denton toddler’s body was found inside a neighbor’s SUV, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner has ruled his death was accidental.

The M.E. ruled that two-year-old Sarbesh Gurung died of hypothermia due to heat.

Gurung’s body was found inside the hot car on July 3rd more than 15 hours after his mother reported him missing.

Friends of his family said the toddler liked to play inside his parent’s SUV and that the neighbor’s vehicle resembled theirs.

Hundreds of volunteers along with police and first responders turned out to help find the boy once word spread of his disappearance.

The community held a candle light vigil in his honor after he was found and a GoFundMe campaign raised almost $21,000 for the family.
