IRVING – WBAP/KLIF – Irving police report a 16 year old boy who was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital in critical condition after an attack in the back yard of a residence by three dogs; has now died. Officers report they arrived in response to a call for help to find three dogs attacking the young man. They report the dogs were secured inside a fenced yard, and that the boy injured did not live at that residence.
Police indicate one of their responding officers was bitten, treated and released for his injuries. One of the dogs was shot, ostensibly to stop the attack; all three dogs are now at the Irving Animal Shelter.
