DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The Dallas Cowboys and star Running Back, Ezekiel Elliot, are being sued for $20-million-dollars over a 2017 Frisco car crash.
The lawsuit filed in Collin County, by Ronnie Hill, claims the Cowboys “conspired with the Frisco Police Department to cover up the severity of the accident.”
Elliot’s SUV reportedly collided with Hill’s BMW in the fall of 2017 near The Star in Frisco. Hill claims he suffered personal injuries and extensive damage to his vehicle after Elliot ran a red light.
Attorney Larry Friedman represents Hill in the lawsuit. He said Tuesday that his client questions the motive of responding Officers.
“He believes that someone intentionally mis-characterized the accident,” Friedman said.
According to Friedman, the Cowboys, nor Elliot, have done anything since the crash to help Hill with costs associated to the crash. He thinks they should both be held accountable.
“We give our sports figures a lot of leeway in this town,” Friedman said.
Elliot, the Cowboys, nor Frisco PD have commented publicly on the lawsuit.
