
DENTON (WBAP/KLIF) – Two men are in Denton Police custody on Possession of a controlled substance charges.
Officers responded to a welfare call on I-35 and Bonnie Brae Street where they found a wrecked vehicle and a man walking down the highway. A package of methamphetamine was on the ground next to the vehicle. The suspect reportedly ran from police and later threatened a sergeant with a knife. He was tased and taken into custody.
At the same time police received a disturbance call from a Denton hospital. It was later discovered that the man was also inside the wrecked vehicle.
Officers got a search warrant for the vehicle and found 38.4 pounds of methamphetamine.
