MCKINNEY (WBAP/KLIF) – A man suspected of trying to torch a McKinney business is wanted by fire investigators.
According to the McKinney Fire Department, on Monday, May 27, a man broke the window at First Choice Muffler Shop located at 1516 South McDonald St. and poured a liquid accelerant inside. After two failed attempts to light the liquid, the suspect threw the accelerant can through the window and drove away.
“Fortunately we’ve got really good pictures of him, so hopefully someone knows who this person is,” said Merit Ossian with the McKinney Fire Department.
The suspect’s truck is a dark-colored Nissan Frontier 4-door pickup with significant damage to the front passenger side. The truck has a sticker that says Pro x4 near the rear taillights.
