FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF) – Fort Worth police are investigating after two children ages 5 and 7 years old were shot Thursday morning. Officers say the children got hold of a shot gun and one was shot in the chest the other in the arm with one fire.
“One is in stable condition the other is in critical condition and is undergoing surgery,” Officer Ivan Gomez said.
The shooting occurred at a home near Interstate 30 and Beach Street.
Officer Gomez reminds parents to keep firearms locked up and away from children.
The Crimes Against Children’s Unit is investigating.
