Fort Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – An investigation continues into an officer-involved-shooting in Fort Worth last night.
Police responded to a suspected armed robbery call at home on Rickee Drive in South fort worth around 9pm.
Police had been notified that the suspect may have be armed with a gun or knife.
on scene police say that the man was not subdued by a taser, and that he said, “i’m not going back to jail” before lunging at officers. At that point police fired, striking the suspect multiple times.
Investigating officers had not released information about whether or not a weapon was found.
A Fort Worth Police spokesman speaking to WFAA’s Mike Forbes:
Fort Worth PIO just talked to the media about the OIS on Rickee dr. One man was shot by a Fort Worth officer. The man is believed to be a suspect in a home burglary on Rickee. He was transported to the hospital. No info on his condition. The officer is okay. pic.twitter.com/jr1wXfuVKn

The suspect is in critical condition at a hospital. No officers were hurt.
