DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Dallas police are urging the public to be on high alert after it received another complaint about a suspicious masked man who has been knocking on doors and harassing people.
The latest incident happened Tuesday around 11:15 a.m. at a home in the 400 block of Kirkwood Drive in Old Lake Highlands. Investigators said a woman doing yard work heard yelling coming from the back of her house.
When the woman went into her backyard, police said she encountered a man wearing a camouflage mask covering his face. She told investigators the man pointed a gun at her and said something she could not understand because his voice was muffled.
The woman managed to run to safety to a neighbor’s house.
This incident follows two similar encounters earlier this year.
The first incident happened on January 15th around 12:00 p.m. at a home near the area of Koko Head Circle and Easton Road near White Rock. The second one happened three days later at 10:25 a.m. near Groveland Drive and Tavaros Avenue.
In both incidents, a woman answered the door and spoke with the man who reportedly made some disturbing comments.
The suspect is described as a White or Hispanic man, 40 – 50 years old, 5’10” tall with a beer belly wearing full camo mask which appeared to be made from neoprene, a royal blue tee-shirt with unknown white logo on front and unknown type of shorts or pants.
Dallas police are urging residents to be vigilant when answering their doors and advise everyone to check their peepholes or look out their window before opening the door.
Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the Dallas Police Department.
