Severe Weather Across North Texas

DALLAS/FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF)- Parts of North Texas experienced severe weather, tornado warnings and flash flood warnings in North Tarrant, Denton and Parker Counties.

People were asked to take shelter and avoid driving as severe weather rolled in at about 4:00 PM Tuesday afternoon.

There was damage reported at Eagle Mountain Lake close to Harbor One Marina. A downpour flooded an area causing stranded vehicles at FM 730 HWY 199 in Azle. Denton County Sheriff’s office reported large branches in roadways east of Justin.

Fort Worth Alliance Airport in North Fort Worth was evacuated and a ground stop was issued at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.

Grant Cruise with Oncor Energy said they are  continuously monitoring storm outages and tells customers to use their best judgment, stay away from downed power lines and to alert law enforcement if you see it.
