Beer and Wine Could Be Sold Earlier on Sundays in Texas

AUSTIN (WBAP/KLIF News) — You soon may be able to buy beer and wine a bit earlier on Sundays.

A bill has passed in the Texas House that would bump the earliest time you can buy beer and wine on Sundays up from noon to 10:00 AM.

Representative Drew Springer drafted the bill and said if restaurants can sell earlier, stores should be able to do the same. He also mentioned how football fans may want to be able to buy those beverages before the noon games start.

Also passed in the House is a bill that paves the way for craft breweries to sell beer to go. As of now, you’re only allowed to drink them on site.

The bills will now go to the State Senate after final house approval.
