(WBAP/KLIF) – The Texas House Speaker says a bill supporting constitutional carry is dead after a supporter of the bill showed up at his home.
According to Speaker Dennis Bonnen, Chris McNutt, executive director of Texas Gun Rights, went to Bonnen’s home last wednesday, while bonnen was away in Austin but his wife and kids were home. The Speaker says it was a demonstration of ” insanity.”
Constitutional carry would allow Texan’s to carry firearms without the need for a license.
Officially, the bill is still pending in the House Homeland Security and Public Safety Committee.
