DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News)- Democratic Presidential Candidate Bernie Sanders spoke out against President Trump on Friday, while speaking about criminal justice reform at a conference in New York City. Sanders called Trump a “racist, bigot, homophobe and xenophobe” during his speech. Missy Shorey, Chairman of the Dallas GOP, expressed shock at Sanders’s statements. “Bernie Sanders should remember the only person who actually stood up for him the last election was indeed Donald Trump, who said he was taken advantage of by the Clintons”, Shorey said. Shorey also pointed out record low unemployment for women and minorities. President Trump did not immediately react to Sanders’s statements on Friday.
