DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) — Former Dallas Cowboy great Michael Irvin says he has not been diagnosed with throat cancer.
The announcement comes after posting to Instagram last week saying he feared he had the disease after losing his voice after a Cowboys-Saints game in November, then struggling to fully get it back for several months.
Irvin went to California last week for tests, but is now thanking God for the good news.
“It is impossible to express my family and appreciation for the overwhelming out pour of love,” Irvin said in an Instagram post.
Former Cowboys teammate Emmitt Smith joined him, posting a photo of the two, along with the caption “God is good!”
