Mesquite Police Arrest Suspect In Capital Murder Of Child

MESQUITE (WBAP/KLIF) – Mesquite police have arrested a 30-year-old man and charged him with capital murder of a 2-year-old child. On Sunday morning, March 24th, police responded to a 911 call from a home on Wildflower Lane, finding the child unresponsive. That child was pronounced dead at the hospital following resuscitation attempts. Evidence lead to the arrest of Toron Eugene Williams of Mesquite. His bond has been set at 250-thousand dollars. Police say the child’s mother is not considered a suspect in the death.
