The city of Plano is changing it’s severe weather warning siren.
In the past, a siren has been accompanied by a voice messaging warning. According to Plano officials the voice messaging was sometimes confusing and difficult to hear, causing residents to come outside to hear the message. This is the opposite of what the city of Plano wants folks to be doing.
Moving forward, only a siren will be used in plano.
