MCKINNEY (WBAP/KLIF)- A McKinney hail repair company, Hail Works, received hundreds of requests after Sunday night’s storm.
Hail Works owner Brody Duke said they’re only taking customers Tuesday because of the overwhelming amount of calls. “I was on the phone for 7 hours and have been on the phone since 7:00 am today there’s so much chaos because there’s so much damage,” Duke said.
Duke said today staff has just been making sure customers have everything ready to go for Tuesday.
“We are expecting 50 cars tomorrow morning and that may be conservative maybe 100 to 150,” Duke said.
He urges everyone to come in whether it’s big or small damage, get it done right away. “A big mistake I always see is that people tend to wait when they have minor damage that’s the worse thing they can do because you’ll have to pay more deductibles,” Duke said. “If you get three storms throughout the summer and bring it in in November you’ll have to pay three separate deductibles,” he said.
He said insurance adjusters are able to identify the pattern of the hail storm and knows if dents and glass breakage is from separate storms.
Duke tells customers to contact insurance and come in with a claim number handy, to speed up the process.
