Rowlett, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – Rowlett and Garland police were called to a reported bank robbery Wednesday afternoon at a Bank of America at 2409 Lakeview Parkway in Rowlett.
Police say the alleged suspect walked into the bank, claiming to have a bomb and demanded money, then drove off.
Officers along with a DPS Air unit began searching for the suspect, who was found in the parking lot of Spring Hill Suites on Shiloh Road in Richardson, he was arrest after a brief foot chase.
An undisclosed amount of money was recovered after a Garland Police Bomb squad determined that a bag the suspect was carrying was safe.
