ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF)- Medical City Arlington is opening a specialized Women’s Hospital April, 8th 2019.
“It’s going to the first dedicated Women’s Hospital in Tarrant County,” Said Medical City Arlington CEO Keith Zimmerman. “The goal is to have all of the services women will need in one place and have specialists on site to care for women if it comes to cancer, heart surgery or any other need they may have,” he said.
Zimmerman said the hospital will also have the capacity to deliver 5,800 babies each year.
Along with the hospital, Zimmerman says they’ve started construction on a new medical office building and a seven structure parking garage on the northwest side of the hospital building opening Spring 2020. 
“This is all part of a $54 million expansion project, to meet the growing needs of patients,” Zimmerman said.
Zimmerman said they are a tax paying hospital and paying for the parking deck, medical office building with no outside funding.
