Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas ISD is warning parents and students near Oak Cliff about a series of robberies where kids have been held at gunpoint.
Parents received a letter from the superintendent’s office saying there have been several reports of kids waiting alone or standing at a bus stop, where someone approaches them and steals their cell phones and other belongings.
The district encouraged parents to talk to their kids about being aware of their surroundings, keeping phones hidden, and staying in groups.
It also tells kids to contact an adult immediately if it happens again.
