Dallas Police Say Man Confessed to Killing Two With Machete

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Dallas Police arrested a man investigators said confessed to killing two people with a machete and leaving their bodies in a parked car.

According to an affidavit, 46-year-old Kris Askew allegedly told investigators Sunday that he swung at the victims, identified as Judy Askew and Randall Lynn, out of anger at Lynn.

During the interview, police said Askew told investigators he committed the murders on February 20th and that Judy Askew had been alive for two to three days before she died.

Investigators said a resident noticed Judy Askew’s car in the 2800 block of Frost near Malcom X Boulevard Saturday and called 911 after seeing the bodies.

When officers went to Judy Askew’s home, they noticed a cut on his Kris Askew’s left hand and spotted blood in an upstairs bedroom and on the blinds.

Askew is being held on capital murder charges.
