Mesquite (WBAP/KLIF) A Poteet High School student was arrested Tuesday for allegedly bringing a gun to school. According to Mesquite police, some students notified an administrator that another student possibly had a gun on campus. The School Resource Officers were notified, searched the student and discovered he had a handgun. The student was arrested and faces charges related to carrying a firearm on a school campus. Mesquite police say they commend the students for reporting the suspicious activity on campus.
