(WBAP/KLIF) – There is now legislation honoring former President George H. W. Bush and Barbara Bush with a presidential coin.
The bill comes from Senator John Cornyn of Texas who says President Bush and his beloved wife Barbara left behind a legacy of service that will continue to inspire generations of Texans.
The legislation authorized the U.S. Treasury to mint one dollar coins honoring the 41st president and his wife.
Senator Cornyn will be in North Texas Wednesday.
