DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – The children of a Grand Prairie couple reported missing earlier this month are reunited with family members after being placed in foster care for close to ten days.
The body of the children’s father, Alfonso Hernandez, was pulled from White Rock Lake Sunday. Marissa Gonzales with Family Protective Services said Tuesday that the security threat keeping the children in foster care is no longer a concern.
“The decision was made [Sunday],” said Gonzalez. “Essentially the agency felt that the children could be with their family and that it was important for them to do so.
The mother, Weltzin Garcia, is still missing.
