DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A special City Council committee meeting Tuesday will focus on the recent Visit Dallas audit which raised serious questions on spending practices by the organization.
Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings says the city has the power to audit organizations the city does business with.
“We need them. We need them to do good. But, part of that is being able to stand the test of public scrutiny,” Rawlings said early this year after the audit was released.
The Government Performance and Financial Management Committee will meet with the Dallas City Auditor at 2:00pm Tuesday at Dallas City Hall.
