Texas Economy Sees Slight Downshift

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Texas economy saw a slight downshift the past two months, according to a new survey from the Dallas Federal Reserve Bank. Texas added jobs at a 2.5 percent pace in the fourth quarter of 2018, down slightly from 2.7 in the third quarter. The survey also showed declines in the production and revenue indexes in December and January. Dallas Fed economists say the outlook for texas this year is still strong, but that the pace likely won’t equal that of 2018.
